華府快樂夜市登場了!  
       WSCLC Holiday Celebration – A “Night Market” Fair 

華府的孩子們在過去幾個月裡很努力的學習中文,並了解中國傳統文化. 趁著佳節的來臨, 家長會希望提供一個新的活動, 讓我們的孩子有個不一樣的快樂經驗體會. 歡迎華府所有的家長和學生們一起共襄盛舉,快快樂樂的來參加我們的夜市園遊會喔!
 
Our students have been working hard to sharpen their Chinese language skills and enhance their cultural understanding in the last few months.  With the holidays approaching, WSCLC PTA would like to offer an exciting new event for our students.  We welcome all parents and students to join us for a “Night Market” fun fair!
 
日期: 星期天, 12月18日
時間: 下午 4:30 – 6:00
地點: 伍頓高中餐廳
活動內容: 各項不同的遊戲攤位, 小吃飲料販賣,布袋戲表演等等.
活動方式: 每位華府學生可自選五項遊戲來玩. 每一項遊戲均有提供獎品. 玩完這五項遊戲者, 亦可憑劵領取一份免費的小吃或飲料.
 
Date: Sunday, December 18.
Time: 4:30 – 6:00pm
Place: Wotton High School Cafeteria
Activities: A variety of games for students to play. PTA will sell some snacks and drinks as well as present a traditional Chinese puppet show. Each student will be given a game card to choose five different games to play.  Each game provides different prizes.  Once students have finished five games, they can go to the PTA food stand to exchange their card for a snack or drink.

  歡迎家長座談會

家長會在9/25舉辦歡迎家長的座談會,會中除了有程萌生校長及董事會會長廖美琳女士介紹學校的組織架構外,家長會也提供未來一年的活動訊息. 這次的座談會有將近二十多位的新家長參與,其中有些還是華府畢業的校友帶著他們的第二代來華府繼續學習中文! 家長會欣喜見於中文教育的薪火相傳,也歡迎更多的家長來加入華府的行列!

PTA held a New/Returned Parents Welcome Party on 9/25.  At the meeting, the Principal Meng-Sheng Cheng and the Chair of the Board of Director Mei-ling Liao welcomed parents and introduced the school’s organizational structure, while PTA presented the information of various activities planned for the coming year.  More than 20 parents participated in this event, in which parents took the opportunity to shared information and networked with each other.  Of them, some were the graduates from WSCLC bringing their son or daughter back to start Chinese language learning.  The School and PTA are very proud of them continuing the tradition of Chinese language learning for the next generation.  We hope more young parents will join the WSCLC community in the future.

第七度舉辦的紀念孔子誕辰祭孔釋奠典禮，9月17日上午假美京華埠馬丁路德金恩紀念圖書館舉行。

WSCLS is recruiting Yi-Shengs to prepare for  the Yi-Woo practice for this coming September ceremony.

All participating students will receive community service hours for  the practice and performance. Please bring your boy(s) and/or girl(s) to join this  interesting cultural event.
