中文電腦打字識字友誼比賽校內初賽 前 五 名

2009中文電腦打字識字友誼比賽  由大華府網路種子師資聯誼會, 美東中文學校協會第五區主辦。比賽分二階段進行。第一階段為打字速度與正確性競賽，第二階段為識字打字競賽。 第一名隊伍頒發獎金300元，參賽同學獎狀各一座。
第二名隊伍頒發獎金200元，參賽同學獎狀各一座。
第三名隊伍頒發獎金100元，參賽同學獎狀各一座。
( 所有參加比賽的同學均可獲得精美紀念品一份。) 校內初賽 (以高中學生優先) 時間: 11/15 3:45 - 4:30 pm 請在11/8 以前 向各班老師報名。請自備 laptop computer with 微軟注音or 微軟拼音installed。 總決賽 比賽日期：2009年12月12日（週六）2:00~5:00 pm

Youth Tennis Program 
To promote this fine sport in Chinese American societies, WSCLC (Hua-Fu) Chinese School for those are interesting in learning, playing and/or promoting their tennis skills and sportsmanship. Start Date: September 13th, Sunday Time: 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm Location: Thomas S. Wootton High School, Chinese School Tennis Court Coach: Robert Yen Assistant Coach: Tina Kao Assistant: Required if more than 6 students. Good tennis players above age of 15 can apply. Ages: 8 – 14 Tennis Level: Beginner, intermediate, anyone who is interested in hitting some more balls. Adult Tennis Clinic Thanks to our coach Robert Yen, who will conduct a free adult tennis clinic right after the kids' program from 1:50 - 3:00 PM. Rather than that of a regular coaching-oriented program, the flow of the class will be more toward basic introductions such as warm-up routine, forehand, backhand, volley, serving, how-to avoid tennis elbow injury, few double-matches, and some safety tips, etc. Adults could continue playing after 3:00 PM since the courts are open until dark. This is a great opportunity for adults, who always want to play tennis but don't know how or where to start. Duration will be the same as kids' program of 8 weeks. 台灣88世紀水患 災情慘重 我們一起為 災區祈福 為災民加油祈禱 向救災英雄致敬 各位老師﹑家長﹐ 莫拉克颱風引發的八八水災﹐是台灣五十年來的最大浩劫。 房社﹑道路﹑橋樑﹑農產品損失慘重。百廢待舉﹐療傷養痛﹐久遠不易。我旅美台僑以往對大陸雪災﹑汶川震災甚至東南亞海嘯皆能慷慨解囊﹐對八八水災台灣鄉親之痛﹐更應義不容辭﹐
大力救災。 學校董事會及家長會已經通過各捐美金一千元救災﹐另外家長會將在9月20﹑27日兩個星期天﹐在學校設置「八八水災」捐款箱﹐供各位家長﹑老師﹑學生自由樂捐。
捐款最好用支票﹐PAYABLE TO﹕ WSCLC﹐並 註明為「八八水災捐款」。由於本校為非營利組織﹐善款金額可免稅。
所收款項在9月27日收妥後﹐將由學校直接交到中華民國駐美代表處﹐一定送至災民手中。 |

2009年大華府地區中文學校夏令營 2009年大華府地區中文學校夏令營將於7月19日至25日假馬州佛洛斯堡州立大學舉行。
大華府地區中文學校夏令營由大華府地區中文學校聯誼會及台灣的僑務委員會聯合舉辦，課程內容包括民族舞蹈、民俗體育、美勞、國畫、戲劇、音樂、武術及球類運動。歡迎8至17歲青少年報名。

由於排舞(line dance)日益受到大眾的喜愛，陳垂垂老師在本校開班授課後，家長們把排舞當成鍛鍊身體運動之一，也引起許多共鳴。 陳老師邀請各位華府家長參加一年一度所舉辦的聖誕排舞 Fun Party, 有吃有喝，邊運動，完全免費。
